Step 1: Cut Your Foam
Measure your space (like a shadow box) and cut your foam to size. If you want windows or doors, measure and cut those out carefully using an X-Acto knife.

Step 2: Draw the Brick Pattern
Use a ruler to draw evenly spaced horizontal lines. Then add vertical lines in a staggered pattern to mimic real bricks.
A mechanical pencil works great because it lightly indents the foam, creating realistic grooves for mortar.

Step 3: Add Texture
Mix baking soda, craft glue, and white paint to create a thick paste.
Brush it over the foam and press it into the grooves between the bricks. This gives the wall that rough, realistic brick texture.
Let it dry, then add a second layer if you want more texture.

Step 4: Paint the Bricks
Mix red and a little brown paint for a natural brick color. Add slight variations by adjusting the amount of brown for different bricks.
For an aged look, try a black wash (black paint mixed with water).

Step 5: Clean Up the Mortar
If paint gets into the grout lines (it probably will), use a fine brush and white paint to clean them up for a crisp, realistic finish.

Step 6: Add Door and Windows (Optional)
Using hot glue, attach the minaiture door and window.

Final Result
You now have a lightweight, affordable, and realistic miniature brick wall! Perfect for dollhouses, shadow boxes, and mini scenes.
Once you make one… you’ll want brick walls everywhere. 🧱✨
